ABYSSES COLLIOURE ROUGE 2008

This cuvée is very limited...a couple of handred cases at most. It is a concentrated red made from Syrah and Grenache. We are very happy with thew results our plantings of Syrah are giving. They provide fantastic power and structure in this wine, which is a rich, extracted wine that is aged in oak (with some new barrels) for over a year.

The 2008 is showing dark, inky , meaty flavours, with toasty oak and damson and plum fruit. A big, bold and characterful wine.
